While I've never run a full marathon (I've done a half), the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon will feature a whole mix of celebrity newcomers and inspiring local stories.

Bryan Arenales, winner of Love Island USA Season 7, will make his marathon debut running for Mercy Home Heroes. He’s joined by former NFL players Justin Britt, who's played for the Seahawks and Texans, and Otis Hudson, who has put the uni on for the Bengals and Chiefs. Both players are also tackling their first marathon.

I remember struggling to keep it hovering around two fifteen for a half, and I hear former USWNT soccer star Heather O’Reilly aims to break the four-hour mark. That's insane, but O'Reilly is a great athlete.
Everyday Runners and Personal Goals
While I wish I had the willpower to cover the miles needed to complete a marathon, I can't, but thousands of others can. The Chicago Marathon is set for Oct. 12 for its 47th edition, celebrating not just elite athletes and celebrities but thousands of runners driven by deeply personal missions. It's truly some of my favorite reasons for donning the bib and running the 26.2 miles. Do it in someone's honor this Fall. We'll be there cheering you on at the finish line.
