Illinois Netflix Users Were Screaming Last Night, Were You?

Netflix has had its fair share of hits and misses when it comes to original programming, but the streaming giant's latest blunder may take the cake. Love Is Blind: The Live Reunion was supposed to be the event of the season, but instead, it turned into a disaster.

The live reunion episode Love Is Blind, would feature popular people from the show and be set to air live on Netflix. Fans eagerly anticipated the drama and the chance to see their favorite contestants again. But when the time came for the live stream to begin, things quickly went downhill.

For 75 Minutes, Love Is Blind fans yelled at Netflix or their wifi, or both.

When the chaos began, Netflix dropped a tweet to fans apologizing and announcing the show would begin in 15 minutes. (That tweet has since been deleted.)

In total, fans impatiently waited for 75 minutes while twiddling their thumbs until host Nick Lachey woiuld tweet this.

We are sorry we’re late. We are no longer live, but we are now finally here!

Netflix attempted to address the situation on Twitter, but it was too little too late. Fans were left feeling frustrated and disappointed, wondering why they bothered to tune in at all.

Of course, the internet being the internet, there were plenty of witty comments and sarcastic tweets about the whole debacle. Even Blockbuster, that old relic of the video rental era, got in on the action. They tweeted at Netflix, reminiscing about the good old days when you could start a VHS tape on time without any issues.

Wait, did we cancel Netflix once before?

Time well spent, in my opinion.

Netflix has more learning to do before attempting another live event on their streaming service.
