Help Create Holiday Magic For Rockford Families By Volunteering At Stroll On State
Summer may not be over yet, but preparations for Rockford, Illinois' biggest event of the year, Stroll On State are ready to begin, and they need your help!
Holiday Season Excitement
I know what I am about to say is a very unpopular opinion, but every year when Labor Day weekend comes I am filled with excitement. Sure getting together with family and friends for one more summer barbecue and pool day is always fabulous, but that's not the true cause of my excitement. The fact that the holiday season is fast approaching is!
I love Fall for all the cider donut and pumpkin fun, but really the whole season is just a pleasant way to tide me over until my heart, mind, and home is completely taken over by Christmas.
Pulling off an extraordinary holiday event takes a LOT of work, and that is exactly why Stroll on State will be heading back into Santa's Workshop soon to start preparing for Rockford's biggest annual party coming up on Saturday, November 30, 2024. It takes a lot of volunteer hours to pull off this epic event, and they need our help!
Stroll On State Needs Santa's Workshop Volunteers
Starting Tuesday, September 17, Santa's Workshops will begin in Downtown Rockford at 310 S Winnebago St., and they will continue every Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. until Noon through Tuesday November 19.
It doesn't matter if you are a master carper or just a person who can man a paint brush, if you are able to give a few hours of time the Stroll On State committee would love to have you!
