Michigan has a lot of unique festivals, and the Testicle Festival is certainly one of them.

If the name sounds like a benefit to raise awareness about men's health - think again. The Testicle Festival in Deerfield is all about food and fun. The menu, however, does include deep-fried cow testicles.

The Testicle Festival has been happening for 22 years. Spoiler alert, the festvial happens every March, so you will have to wait to eat deep-fried cow testicles until 2024. According to the Detroit News, this year's festival also included chicken gizzards, oysters, and sides of baked beans and coleslaw.

This unique event is hosted by the Deerfield American Legion Post No. 392, features a cash bar every year and Testicle Festival apparel is sold too (see flyers below).

I have no desire to eat cow testicles, but I do love the festival T-shirts, and all proceeds are used to update the Deerfield American Legion Hall and for the community too. It's a total win win.
