Rockford City Market officially opens for the 2020 season tonight in Downtown Rockford...YAY! Yes, the way the market operates will be quite different from normal, at least for the month June, but at least we can still go there to buy our favorite homegrown goods.

There is one vendor that was scheduled to be at Rockford City Market tonight that won't be there due to some last minute changes by the Winnebago County Health Department. When I read this post from Curran's Orchard on Facebook yesterday, I was like, "woah, what's going on here?"

Because our world is a dang crazy place to live right now, I am choosing to look for the silver lining in everything to maintain my sanity. The silver lining I have found in this announcement is: the year 2020 sucks right now, and most of us are wishing we could fast forward straight into 2021. The fact that Curran's Orchard is opening early so we can buy donuts and cider makes me feel like it's Fall...and Fall means the end of the year is coming...so perhaps we should be thankful for that. Anyone else with me? LOL!

If you can't make it to Curran's Orchard tonight to get some of their goodies, don't forget they will be open on Saturday from 8 a.m. to Noon, and they'll continue to open up shop every Friday and Saturday until things get a little more relaxed Downtown this summer.
