You might reconsider giving out your number the next time you meet someone.

Fortune is reporting a flaw "that leaves as many as 95% of Android devices—that’s 950 million gadgets—exposed to attack. The computer bug, nicknamed “Stagefright” after a vulnerable media library in the operating system’s open source code, may be one of the worst Android security holes discovered to date."

The worst part is that you might not even know you got hacked. If it happens you could have your data stolen, and your camera and microphone accessed.

Here's the good, the team at Google is working on a patch to fight the hack. The bad? Something like this will probably happen again.

How do you defend yourself from potential hacks in the future? Don't give out your number to anyone.
