After a fatal shooting and armed robbery outside Pinnon's Meats in Rockford, authorities have now released photos of the suspect.

The Rockford PD issued a statement regarding the fatal shooting and armed robbery that occurred at Pinnon's on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023.

"Just before 4 pm today (Wednesday), the Rockford Police Department reported the shooting investigation was underway at Pinnon Meats on North Court Street at Fulton and asked the public to stay away from the area." [Johnny V]

Upon arrival, they found a 63-year-old woman lying at the base of the stairs leading to the second-floor apartments above the store, according to officials.  She was shot in the chest and has succumbed to her injuries.  The victim's name hasn't been released.

The Rockford Police Department has now released photos of the suspect involved in the incident. They're asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating the suspect.

Following the robbery and shooting incident, the suspect fled the scene by stealing the victim's car. The vehicle was later found abandoned in the 2000 block of Douglas Street.
