With Halloween just a few short days away you might still be thinking about what costume you will wear. Well, this might help sway your decision.

Okay, let's just get this out of the way early: if you (like me) chose any of the late, great Ron Popeil's famous Ronco products like the Chop-o-Matic, the Veg-o-Matic, Mince-o-Matic, or even the Showtime Rotisserie & BBQ--you're wrong.

Let's have a spelling contest. Based on a new list released by Google Trends, I know the words I wouldn't want anyone in Missouri, Illinois or Iowa to spell for me. However, if you laugh as hard as I did at these, your day will at least be better.

We all have words that we need to let spellcheck fix when typing. For the people of Illinois, this is the word we struggle with the most.

I recently stumbled upon an article from 2017 that talked about things that residents of each state had been Googling. In specific, the piece shared what each state typed in after the words "Why Do."

In some commercials, you'll hear the words "Your results may vary." Think of those words when you look over the results of a recent state-by-state study of kids and their favorite children's books.

I think this is one of those scenarios where what we talk about, and what we search for on Google, are wildly different things.

Right before nearly every holiday or celebrated occasion, the lists start pouring out from all corners of the internet. You'll see headlines blaring things like "_______ is Illinois' Favorite Thanksgiving Side Dish!" or "________ is Illinois' Favorite Winter Sandwich!"

Super Bowl Sunday is great for a lot of reasons. There's obviously the big game, but then there's the food. OMG the food. It's one of the best food days of the whole year. I think I know why it's so delicious, it's because it's basically a buffet of appetizers...
