Layoffs

Hundreds in Illinois learned Tuesday that they have been laid off as supply chain companies are cutting back.

Many companies are going through a bit of upheaval and Walgreens is definitely among them. They just announced a rash of layoffs including many store locations being closed and there's already one confirmed to shut their doors in Illinois.

The layoffs will be coming in October.

After over 60+ years, the Belvidere Assembly Plant will be closing its doors indefinitely on February 28th, 2023, leaving hundreds of employees without jobs. This news has come as a shock to many, as the plant has been a staple in the area for decades...

No official reason has been given for the shutdown, prior shutdowns were blamed on a lack of demand.

More layoff calls are being made by plant manager Tomasz Gebka.
