Weekend Update is officially going to the Emmys. NBC confirms that SNL writers and stars Colin Jost and Michael Che will host the 2018 ceremony later this year, while creator Lorne Michaels is getting back involved as well.
Donald Glover may be hosting SNL next month alone, but he won’t be taking May solo. The final Season 43 hosts and musical guests have been announced, including four extremely talented women.
Let’s be honest – SNL’s Trump impression has little to do these days but parrot back actual statements, and even Alec Baldwin thinks playing the role is “agony.” Trump himself even used Baldwin’s quote to push SNL into bringing Darrell Hammond’s iteration back, and maybe … he’s not wrong?
Well, if current events forced SNL to retire the grim Steve Bannon, they sure went out with a bang. Watch Bill Murray‘s surprise return to the series that made him famous, as SNL’s take on Trump’s (ex) right-hand man finally removes the cloak.
