That Time My Friend Ran Into Famous Rapper At Illinois Chicken Joint

You're never going to believe me when I tell you this story.  It's real, I promise!

Backstory: I'm chillin' with 2 of my friends and we're eating a bunch of McDonald's having a great time.  We got to talking about celebrities (my favorite conversation of the night) and my friend, Gabe, said he has met only one celebrity in his lifetime - his favorite personality, in fact.

Where you ask? Harold's Chicken in Chicago.

If you don't know what Harold's Chicken is, they're a popular fried chicken restaurant based in Chicago and other cities around the country.  I've never been there, but everybody I know has been to this fast food joint and says it's really good.

Now, Gabe was living in Chicago at this time for school.  His friend had asked him to get lunch with her before they went to class.  Conveniently, Harold's Chicken was located next to their dorm!

Gabe actually said no to going at first, but he didn't want her to go alone so he tagged along even though he wasn't going to eat anything.  What a nice friend!

Once they got to Harold's Chicken, they were waiting in the short line for their turn to order.  As they get their food to go, Gabe turns around to exit the restaurant.

Next thing he knows.... he's face to face with Kanye West.

This is what I imagined Kanye to look like when Gabe turned around.

Gabe said there weren't many people at the chicken joint so he stayed because he felt he had a pretty good chance of getting a picture with the man himself, Ye.

Did Gabe get a photo with the famous rapper? YES! Kanye was apparently really nice!

Ye told all the fans waiting that he'd take pictures with them after he ordered his food.  So sweet!  Though nobody is obligated to do anything for fans, it's awesome Kanye was so willing to take time out of his day to say what's up to everybody!

And, of course, a congrats to Gabe for being at the right place at the right time.  He probably would've been kicking himself if he stayed at his dorm and missing out on meeting his favorite celeb!
