When you steal clothing from a local boutique the last thing you'd want to do is take a "selfie" showing off your new outfit.

Apparently, Danielle Saxton from Frankfort, Illinois didn't get the memo and snapped a quick selfie of herself and a friend showing off her "hot" merchandise.

Saxton allegedly took the dress from Morties Boutique on July 11 and was spotted walking away from the store with the stolen merchandise.

Gay Williams Morton, owner of Morties Boutique, told the Chicago Tribune, "I called the police department and said, 'It just hit Facebook,' and they were on it in two seconds."

According to the story, the police also knew who Saxton was and arrested later that afternoon.

Saxton was charged with with retail theft less than $300.

BONUS! Saxton also had an outstanding warrant for a previous drug charge.

Looking for a moral to the story? Don't take selfies. You'll end up in jail.
