Suicide is one of our country's leading causes of death. The conversation must be ongoing for changes to that statement to change.

For one Saturday afternoon in Rockford, the conversations will be many. The courage that comes from those conversations has the power to save lives. Whether it's your struggle or someone you've lost, this day, this walk, is important.

The Out Of The Darkness Walk is hosted by The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. AFSP is a non-profit health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education, and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death. Hundreds of cities around the country will be hosting walks. Here are the details for Rockford's walk.
