Dozens of New Shake Shacks Could Open in Illinois By the End of 2024

I've always liked to dream; when I do, it's mostly about food.

Sorry, I'm always hungry, and when I hear stories about how much people in Chicago love going to excellent burger joints like Shake Shack, my taste buds get a little jealous.

That's why I was super excited to see the popular East Coast-based burger chain expand by adding 80 more restaurants throughout the US by the end of 2024.

Things seem to be going well for Shake Shack, so they may continue adding restaurants in Illinois.

Rockford would be a prime spot for a brand new Shake Shack, and I have the perfect area for the joint: right next to Raising Cane's.

Do you know where the former Stone Eagle restaurant sits?

Well, that place is getting demolished to make way for a brand Raising Cane's.

Here's the thing: That chicken tender chain is only getting half the property.

As far as I know, the other half hasn't been purchased.

COULD ROCKFORD GET A SHAKE SHACK DRIVE-THRU LOCATION?

When you consider that two of the new Shake Shack restaurants that have opened are their first drive-thru locations (one of which is located in Bloomingdale, Illinois), it seems even more possible because they can get one up and open without taking up a ton of space.

So, while this might be my dream burger scenario, I feel it's worth considering. Dear Shake Shack, if you're reading this, please open up a joint in Rockford.
