There's a reason I chose to work in radio, the dress code. There isn't one. You'd be amazed at how many times I've showed up to work in sweats or leggings. I'll admit, after working in a corporate environment for so long, it was a big adjustment for me to get comfortable with coming in wearing whatever I wanted. In fact, I think I dressed business casual for the first six months of my radio career before I decided to come into work in yoga pants.

That wouldn't exactly fly if you or I were a Starbucks barista, however, times they are a changing and so is Starbucks dress code. Employees can't wear leggings, however, they're now encouraged to come into work as "themselves."

Starbucks has ditched the traditional black or white shirt along with the khaki pants and your local barista at Starbucks on East State can now wear shirts in a variety of colors, shorts, jeans, dresses, blue hair, and for those who chose not to wash their hair, they can now wear beanies and fedoras.

They hope is to boost employee morale and judging by comments from Starbucks employees on Twitter, it's working.
