Teacher of the Week: Ms. Burgoyne from Cherry Valley Elementary

Congratulations to our newest teacher of the week, Ms. Burgoyne from Cherry Valley Elementary.

Ms. Burgoyne scored beautiful flowers from Broadway Florist and an amazing cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

The winning nomination came from Anne Wilkerson. Anne writes:

My daughter heard the ad for teacher of the week on the radio and immediately gasped that we had to nominate Ms. Burgoyne (Ms. B). Ms. B is a great teacher because she jokes with the kids and makes them laugh. Ms. B makes math really easy for the kids by finding fun ways for them to learn. Ms. B cares so much for her students and understands that they are each unique individuals that learn in their own way.

I recently had surgery and my daughter was concerned about being at school and not knowing how I was doing. I spoke to Ms. B the day before and asked if we could call the school and she could get a message to my daughter. Ms. B didn't hesitate for a second to offer her cell phone number for us to call after surgery so my daughter could actually talk to us and know I was okay. Ms. Burgoyne is a very deserving teacher of 97ZOK's Teacher of the Week award.
