A biology professor says that the secret to attracting guys faster is to stop shaving your armpits.

Come again?

There was a time, when I was in my late 20s, when I had given up on dating altogether. I remember being so frustrated that I went to the extreme and chopped off all my hair; I told myself if I met someone and he was still attracted to me with short hair, then he's probably the one. I met my husband just days after my extreme makeover.

So, maybe there's something to this whole not shaving your armpits thing. One woman's pixie cut is another woman's hairy armpits, I suppose. We're not biology professors so what do we know?

But Des Tobin is and he claims that if keeping your body nice and groomed hasn't translated into finding a boyfriend, then it's time to go the exact opposite route. Tobin says it might help you attract a guy if you stop shaving your armpits.

He says,

"In other mammals, body hair is very important for dispersing odors, such as pheromones, [to] help you attract mates . . . shaving your underarm hair could mean those odors are not dispersed into the air so quickly."

How far are you willing to go in order to attract someone of the opposite sex? Would you give this theory the good ol' college try?
