Urban Dictionary Explains ‘Ratchet’

The word "ratchet" has been thrown a lot recently describing everything from ice cream cones to cars to hair styles, but do we really know what it means?

There are a ton of different meanings to "ratchet" listed on Urban Dictionary. Some can be pretty offensive so be forewarned.

While, I'm pretty sure that this isn't what "ratchet" means, this might be the most interesting (and possibly the silliest) explanation:

I stand corrected. "Ratchet" means tacky, trashy, trifling and classless.
