Want to Know If He’s Into You? Take Him to a Buffet

Researchers from Cornell University discovered a way a woman can tell if the guy she's with is into her. And you can tell from the very first date.

The study was conducted over a two-week period while researchers observed 150 adults eating lunch at an all-you-can-eat Italian buffet. What the researchers were watching was how many slices of pizza and how many bowls of salad men would consume when they were with someone of the opposite sex.

The findings:

• Men who ate with women ate 93% more pizza slices and 86% more greens
• Men tend to overeat as a way to 'show off' to the opposite sex. And men don't do that around women they don't want to impress.

'You can also see this tendency in eating competitions which almost always have mostly male participants’

explains lead author Kevin Kniffin, PhD, of Cornell University in a recent press release.

How this could backfire:

• By over-consuming food men unconsciously may be signaling their biological fitness, a paradoxical tactic in this case given that ‘overeating constantly is going to produce a body

The research team also concluded, "men need to calm down when eating with opposite sex."

I hope my wife understands that when we eat at Pizza Ranch in Rockton, I eat all that chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans because I dig the hell out of her!
