Every Saturday, after our workout, a small group of us from Maximum Performance will go out for coffee. Coffee has turned into going out for breakfast and every week we try and go some place different; some place local.

A few weeks ago, over breakfast at Magpie, a friend of mine asked if I had ever been to Lydia's Café. I'd never heard of it, so last weekend; on a whim, my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. We stuck out like a sore thumb in our gym clothes but it's a great place; so great that inspired me to share some of my other favorite places to have breakfast in Rockford. Maybe, like me, these are places you've never heard of and if you feel the urge, you can give one of them a try this weekend.

    Lydia's Cafe

1710 Rural St #3, Rockford- Small, quaint and the menu is extremely unique with Rockford themed meals. For example, I had the "Bike Path"- eggs, toast, and bacon.
