5 Reasons Rockford Needs Access to Amazon Prime Now

Is it just me, or is Rockford starting to see some amazing changes?

You've got new and exciting businesses popping up all over downtown, stylish lofts and apartments are starting to lease out to new residents and I can't believe I missed this yesterday (February 19th)- beer yoga at Prairie Street Brewhouse?

Pretty soon, the Forest City will pretty much have everything you need; well everything but this one thing I wish would service this area- Amazon Prime Now; it's the delivery service that's offered with your Amazon Prime membership. Ever heard of it?

I came to learn about it under very unfortunate circumstances, but I'm happy I learned about it because to sum it up, Amazon Prime now is a life saver.

My best friend's pig broke my laptop, allegedly. It was an accident, but my friend who owns the pig insisted that she replace it...and she did in two hours, without even leaving her house. All she did was order the replacement through her Amazon Prime account and then had it delivered through Now; I'd never seen anything like it.

She was so excited that she went on and on about how wonderful the service is and I, naturally, was intrigued. So, I went to see if the service was offered in the Rockford area and unfortunately, it's not; but it should be.

Here's five reasons why Amazon Prime Now needs to be offered in the Stateline.

You Never Have to Leave Your House
Hate crowded stores and long lines? Just buy what you're looking for through Amazon and have it delivered to your house in two hours. When you place your order it will give you a window for when you'd like it delivered; kind of like when you're waiting for the cable guy. Waiting is so much easier when it's from your couch; in your pjs. Plus,

You Can Order Anything
And I mean anything. According to my best friend, who uses the service, she forgot some random things from Aldi one day- spinach, coffee creamer; stuff like that, and she was able to order those things through Now and boom, it showed up at her front door step within a couple of hours. And I know what you're thinking, yes, it includes alcohol.

It Fiscally Makes Sense
Yes, you have to be an Amazon Prime member, so obviously you'd pay the annual membership fee, but Now is no additional charge; not even the delivery is extra. You just pay for your merchandise, add a tip for the driver and that's it. Plus, you can add up to 4 people in to your Prime account; also at no additional cost.

It's Basically a Lifesaver
Forget someone's birthday or anniversary and need a gift? Amazon Prime Now is there. Did a pig break your laptop but you're on a deadline and need a computer? Amazon Prime will be there. Anything that you can think of that you might need that you may have forgotten at the store? Yeah, they probably have that too; because Now has more than 50 million items; including fresh produce.
