7 Things Not To Say To Blackhawks Fans Today
The dream of back-to-back Stanley Cups ended last night in overtime for the Chicago Blackhawks.
The L.A. Kings defeated the Blackhawks 5-4 after a deflected puck skittered over Corey Crawford's right shoulder to send the Kings to the Stanley Cup Final.
As a huge Blackhawks fan, watching them rally all the way back to force a game 7, only to lose in overtime, ranks as one of my top Chicago sports disappointments of all time.
Regardless, the Blackhawks had a great season. They came up just a bit short, the players and their fans are going to feel the sting of last night's defeat until next season.
There are right ways to talk with friends and co-workers about the game, here are seven things not to say to Blackhawks fans today.
- "The Kings were the better team, the Hawks shouldn't have even taken it to a game 7."
- "The Hawks wouldn't have beaten New York in the Stanley Cup Final anyway."
- "Corey Crawford is bad."
- "Your team won the Cup last year."
- "Good timing really. Jonathan Toews and the rest of the team really needed to shave."
- "There is a huge kegger at UW next week and Patrick Kane was invited. Now he can go."
- "At least you have the Cubs."
