Every time I drive down State Street in downtown Rockford there are more fun things to do, but there's still a few things missing.

I was just telling someone the other day that when I first started working in Rockford in 2013, there wasn't too much happening in downtown Rockford.

Sure there were a few restaurants and the Coronado, but there wasn't THAT much.

Now we're blesse with a ton of small businesses, dozens of delicious restaurants, a new hotel, salons and so much more.

However, there could still be a few additions right?

I saw this post trending on Facebook this week and the suggestions are pretty great.

From a movie theater, to a grocery store... a roller rink to an ice cream shop, this list sounds doable!

I'm also a huge supporter of a pizza by the slice location idea, or late night food truck options.

I just happen to be extra hungry after midnight sometimes. You know what I'm talking about.

There's also a suggestion of having a full gym and more children's activities in the actual downtown area.

My top 7 are: movie theater, grocery store, pizza by the slice, late night food trucks, full gym, candy store and maybe we need like target-like store too.

Maybe these things already exist somewhere, let me know!

What would you add to the list?
