I've always been a napper. I think I slept my childhood away, since I was always snoozing instead of playing with the neighborhood kids. Shoot, I was still a napper right before I had Liam...then obviously my nap time became, Mom time.

I get up so early that by afternoon, I'm a zombie. My secret? I never sit down, and if I just can't stand the tiredness anymore, I take a 10 minute nap. You'd be surprised what a nap that long will do. It totally energizes me, and I feel a million times better. If I sleep any longer than that, I feel worse than I did before I laid down.

Scientists are saying that a 10 to 20 minute nap is all you need to boost alertness and a hour nap gives you more focus. If you just can't get through your day a 90 minute nap will help with alertness, memory, learning and performance.

If you have no time at all to take a nap and you're really tired or stressed, just rest your eyes. Scientists say closing your eyes for one minute and thinking about taking a nap, will reduce your blood pressure. I really don't think I could think about taking a nap without taking a nap!
