A Restaurant in Rockford is Home to One of the ‘Best Pizzas in America’
You don't have to leave Rockford to eat one of the best pizzas in America.
While some may disagree, we've got some darn good pizza in Rockford. I mean, Rockford pizza is severely underrated and under-appreciated when talk of good pizza cities come up.
And while Lino's or Capri or John's didn't make the Daily Meal's 101 Best Pizzas in America list, one of Rockford's newest pizza joints did.
Lou Malnati's opened in Rockford in early 2019 and almost every night they are slammed. One, people like pizza in Rockford and two, their pizza is really really tasty.
That's why Lou Malnati's ranked 9th out of 101 pizza places and the Daily Meal raved saying, "make sure one of your picks is the Malnati Chicago Classic: a casserole-like pizza made with Lou's lean sausage, some extra mozzarella and vine-ripened tomato sauce on buttercrust."
Believe it or not, I actually had a chance to make the Malnati Chicago Classic, and it was as much fun to make as it was to eat.
