Popular Illinois Pizza Place Opens New Location Near Rockford

A new pizza place just opened in Byron, about 25 minutes southwest of Rockford.

If you've tried the pizza at one of their locations in either Oregon or Rochelle, you know what you're getting into, and in my opinion, it's some real good stuff.

Alfano's Pizza Opens New Location in Byron

Alfano's is a welcome addition to the Byron community. Not that there aren't already some great pizza options in town, but it never hurts to have one as good as Alfano's.

My family and I made the trek to Oregon a time or two to dine in or grab a pizza (and a few other things) over the past decade or so.

A Familiar Favorite Is Now Closer to Rockford

For us, it cuts down on the travel time. We admittedly loved stopping at Cork & Tap in Oregon for a drink while we waited for our pizza, but it's still great to have an Alfano's this close to home.

Besides the pizza at Alfano's, their two-page menu is half pizza and half things like pasta, sandwiches, fish and chicken dinners, and ribs. They also have a kids menu at Alfano's, perfect if you're bringing the little ones out to dinner.

What’s on the Menu at Alfano's in Byron?

They also have a Chicken Parm Sandwich on the menu that sounds incredible. If only they had an eggplant parm option too, because I'd throw that on some bread and call that a day if I could. A boy can dream, I guess.

Anyway, I'm guessing Alfano's in Byron is going to be pretty busy these next few days, so if you're heading to dine in, make plans to wait a minute or two, but I, for one, am already making plans to be there this weekend.
