All Charges Dropped Against Jussie Smollett

Breaking news today as all charges were dropped against 'Empire' actor, Jussie Smollett.

According to NBC 5 all charges have been dropped against Jussie Smollett.

There really isn't much else leaking right now as to why the charges were dropped, NBC says:

All criminal charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped Tuesday, his legal team said.

"Today, all criminal charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped and his record has been wiped clean of the filing of this tragic complaint against him," attorneys Tina Glandian and Patricia Brown Holmes said in a statement.

There was an emergency hearing this morning where Smollett and his lawyers were expected to speak, that hearing resulted in the charges being dropped.

This case has garnered national attention, with Buzzfeed being one of the news outlets reporting the news today.

Buzzfeed said they reached out to the Chicago Police but haven't been given a statement.
