That's why I always wait until school is officially back in session to do any super important shopping.  It's quiet in stores, no kids throwing tantrums, and you don't have to fear getting hit by a bouncy ball walking past the toy aisle.

Here's why I think back-to-school season is the best time of year to shop.

Why Back-to-School Season is the Best Time to Shop in Illinois

If you're a parent, this is truly the time for you.  Peace and quiet, your chance to shop without wondering where your kids ran off to, and you can actually shop for yourself with no interruptions.

As a single person with no kids, I love when school is back in session.  Sure, school buses might back up traffic in the afternoon, but if that means stores are quieter, cleaner, less chaotic, and just about kid-free, I'll take it.  No more buying for everyone in the backseat when you go through the drive-thru or trying to calm a screeching child when school is back in session!  Take full advantage while you can.

This is also the best time of year to get ahead for the holidays.  Find the gifts for your kids before Christmas time hits so you beat the lines and pure chaos in stores.  Take the advice and thank me later!
