Illinois Bakery Serves One of America’s Tastiest Croissants

I didn’t know I wanted a croissant so much until I saw this list.

Then I immediately became disappointed with how difficult it is to get one of the 100 best croissants in America.

Yelp put together a list of what they called the Top 100 Croissants in the US and Canada 2024.

First time I have seen one of these from Yelp that includes Canada. Maybe we in the US need to focus on creating more delish croissants.

Anyway, imagine my further surprise when one, only one bakery in the entire state was considered good enough when it comes to croissant making to land on this prestigious list.

Here’s the other thing, Aya Pastry only got situated at #75 overall.

Rated a 4.7 out of five on the Yelpster scale, Lina W. says the traditional butter croissant and the Kouign-Amann “are NOT to be missed if you’re in the area.”

My man, Len L. (No relation) says “The almond croissant at Aya is my favorite gem.”

Katherine P. was kind of sort of hating on Aya adding “I paid $5 for an inedible rock hard peanut butter chocolate croissant.”

Personally, the pictures of the croissants shared by Yelp users look insanely delicious so I think I’m in.
