This is the kind of restaurant where you might miss it if you blink. It's so hidden that this eatery was just named one of the best secret restaurants in America.

WHAT MAKES A RESTAURANT A "SECRET?"

Like Timeout, who listed these 17 restaurants mentioned, you can find these eateries down "alleys, behind false doors, and other hard-to-find places."

The real appeal, at least to me, is that these places are hard to find. What's the allure? Why not a permanent and more present location? It might be because the restaurant industry is fickle, and restaurant-goers are even worse.

WHY HAVE A HIDDEN OR SECRET RESTAURANT?

It might be easier to operate in the shadows. I mean, superheroes do it, so why not restaurants?

As far as restaurants are concerned, this might be the best secret eatery in the entire state. The very best is a place called Duck Sel.

Here's where it gets crazy and a little cloak and dagger because Duck Sel is essentially a pop-up restaurant; you won't be given the restaurant's location until a day or two before the event.
