History Made: The "Iceman" Lands the Madden Cover

While expectations for the team are sky-high in 2026, there’s even more pressure as Caleb Williams was named the cover athlete for this year's edition of the Madden NFL video game series.

If you’re keeping score at home, Williams is the very first Bears player to get the cover of the game.

Madden is one of the biggest video games on the planet, so it’s a really big deal to be on the cover, and it’s something Williams has talked about as a “dream come true.”

The original game came out in 1988, and at the time, only the late coach and broadcaster John Madden was on the cover. In 2001, they started featuring players, and since then, 24 NFL players have graced the cover.
