I’m not sure when my obsession with charcuterie boards began, but I do know it was heavily influenced by my social media feeds; Facebook groups, Pinterest, and TikTok.

When this trend started getting popular online, I never really paid attention to it. Then one day, my entire camera roll was filled with screenshots of creative board ideas.

For my first attempt this year, I went all in for a Halloween family party. I created a "charBOOterie" board! Not knowing how it'd turn out, I was so happy with it.

I decked it out with all sorts of fall and spooky-inspired vibes:

Meat pouring out of a skeleton
A mini "pumpkin patch" made from orange cuties and cucumber as the stems
Banana ghosts with googly eyes
Strawberry creatures with googly eyes
Broomsticks made from mini reese's and pretzel sticks
Teeth made with apple slices, peanut butter, and marshmallows
Cheese, crackers, and jams to add to the chaos

I could hardly believe I made it myself! It was a hit, and now, I’m totally inspired to make one for every holiday gathering. Can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Who knew Illinois had such a passion for charcuterie?

One thing is for sure—we love our jams. Apricot, raspberry, and orange marmalade are my favorite must-have jams on my boards. They're so damn good! Sweet, tangy, and perfect flavors for dipping anything in them.

Walnuts
