Chocolate Recall Hits Illinois Over Undeclared Walnuts
You know I love chocolate and sweets as much as the next guy, but you have to draw a line somewhere, and for me, it’s chocolate with walnuts.

Chocolate Recall Over Undeclared Walnuts Raises Allergy Concerns
This is more than just my interest in chocolate being unencumbered by walnuts; a labeling mishap by the company, French Broad Chocolates, turned something that irritates my taste buds into something more serious.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says they accidentally shipped six, twelve. and twenty-four-piece boxes of their “Bette’s Bake Sale” bonbons with undeclared walnuts inside, which is an issue for anyone suffering from a nut allergy.
The product was sold between April 14 and April 20 and also shipped to Illinois and 39 other states, but has since been recalled.

What to Do If You Bought the Recalled Chocolates
The silver lining is that there have been no serious reactions to report on so far, but if you’ve got one of those boxes at home, this isn’t one of those “let’s just risk it” situations; just return it or toss it.
Now I just gotta ask, what’s the absolute worst “surprise ingredient” you’ve ever bitten into, totally expecting it to be something else?
