COVID Exposure Forces Temporary Shut Down Of Popular Rockford Restaurant
"This just sucks!" is what the Facebook post reads describing the feeling of having to shut down after an employee was exposed to COVID-19.
That was the word a couple of days ago from Abreo on their Facebook account, describing the situation as something "I've been dreading" forcing the popular restaurant to close temporarily.
Abreo said that they would hope to reopen today, but there hasn't been anything definitive.
Whether it be their famed "Dive Bar Night" or something else, Abreo is a one of a kind experience.
I, along with Midday Michelle, filmed an episode of Ate One Five there a few years ago, and the food we ate was absolutely incredible. From that day forward, I became a fan for life of Abreo.
Abreo is a true Rockford original. One of a handful of restaurants I would say is definitively Rockford.
If you don't believe me, fans replying to the news on the Abreo Facebook shared memories, talked about their favorite dishes while highlighting the restaurant's innovations and creativity.
Abreo is located at 515 East State Street in Rockford.
