A Rat Takes Over Wrigley Field During Cubs vs Phillies

Just a couple of days ago, while the Cubs were taking on the Phillies, a big old rat decided now was the time for its time to shine in the majors. Popping up near the Phillies’ bench, the rat scurried alongside the front of the dugout, sending players, coaches, and even camera crews scrambling like they just saw a mouse, erm, a massive rat.

The guy took off along the first base side along the wall and hid under the tarp. Hopefully, that thing has moved before the next rain delay, or the grounds crew member who has to roll that thing out to cover the field is in for one heck of a surprise.

Animal Encounters at Wrigley Field Continue With Goose Appearance

The announcers were referring to the rat on the field shenanigans as “all kinds of havoc,” but this wasn’t the only animal appearance at Wrigley, as just a day earlier, a goose wandered onto the diamond like it was there to take a few grounders.

As a superstitious Cubs fan, I hope the visits from animals, rodent or not, continue because this team is on a hot streak and I’d like to see it stay that way.
