Firehouse Subs is doing something pretty fun (and delicious!) for one very specific group of people. Know someone named Mike?

Out of all the names my parents could've named me, I wasn't named Mike. Unfortunate. Sad day to be named anything else after you hear this.

Sub Joint in Illinois Is Offering Free Subs—Only If Your Name Is Mike

If your name is Mike, Michael, Mikey, Miguel, Michelle, Michele, or Michaela, you are getting something that nobody else in the world will get on May 6th: a free medium Steak & Cheese Melt at Firehouse Subs. The only thing you'll need is a valid ID to prove you aren't lying about your name just to get in on the promotion!

I'm just curious why this was the promotion they went with. Obviously, it worked in their favor because we're talking about it, but why Mike?

They're only doing it for one day only, though. If your name is Mike and you want that free sub, you can only go on Wednesday, May 6th. I have a feeling people will be camping out to be the first Mike to get in on the deal... so if you know a guy, specifically named Mike, let them know what's good.
