Flashback Friday: Remember ‘Ladies Night’ at Elixur?

Rockford hasn't had a nightclub (really) since Elixur closed years ago.

There have been others that lasted a minute or two, sometimes in the same location, but only Elixur left a real impression on Rockford.

Especially for me. You see, Elixur was my first club gig. I was the host for what I thought was the biggest night of the week, Ladies Night.

I mean, they had me host the "hot body competition," seriously, laugh out loud funny stuff. Years passed since I thought about my time at Elixur until I ran until one of their patented club cards while cleaning out a drawer.

I don't even remember this part but apparently I had "shot cards" I would hand out to people in attendance.
