One of the biggest things to worry about when you go on a date is what to eat. Too little and you look silly, too much and you look like a pig. But this list is more about the contents, not the quantity.

Yourtango came up with five foods to avoid on a first date, they say to steer clear of oysters, garlic, ribs, noodles and Mexican.

Forget oysters because you look sleazy, garlic makes you smelly, ribs make you BBQ sauce-y, noodles are slurp-y (and also messy), and Mexican food makes people sick sometimes, don't risk it.

I'm gonna add a few more to the list.

Salad. This is twofold, first of all, ladies, you might think a salad will make you look cute or something, but have you ever realllllllly watched someone eat a salad? It's generally unappealing. Lettuce can fall out of your mouth at any moment, and if you happen to be a loud chewer, you can hide that behind some things, not salad.

Anything that you have to assemble. I used to work in a restaurant that served fish, chicken and steak tacos, and even though people raved about them, there was always an awkwardness when they arrived. This was especially true for girls on dates. It was as if they were thinking, "oh, no. What do I do with my hands? Do I use a fork? This is messy, take it back, bring me a side of fries."

Nothing. Possibly the worst idea is to order nothing on a date because you're "not hungry." Um, did you not agree to go on this date? Then you should be hungry, it's pretty easy to make sure that you are. If your date didn't want to eat with you, you would have had different plans.

What food would you suggest that someone NEVER eats on a date?
