Do you like candy corn? It's Illinois' least-favorite candy but you may love it when you taste this air fryer candy corn recipe. It changed my opinion.

Air Fryer Recipes

What can I toss in this air fryer basket that would taste amazing?

Finding multiple answers to that question is the joy of every air fryer owner. Soon, you'll realize that you can make a ton of snacks that taste just like something you'd get at a carnival or fair.

It's no secret that the people of Illinois hate candy corn more than any other candy... but I bet they've never tried it like this before.

How to Make Fried Candy Corn in an Air Fryer

This is not a complicated recipe at all.

You'll only need 3 things, candy corn, a dough sheet, and an air fryer.

This was the dough sheet that worked best for me, from Walmart for around $3.

  • Use a shot glass, or something similar, to make little circles of dough.
  • Wrap 2-3 candy corns inside each dough circle to look like a small ball.
  • Toss them into a preheated air fryer at 350 degrees.
  • Every air fryer is a little different, so only cook them for a couple of minutes at a time, so you can check on the color of the dough.
  • The goal is for the dough to be a golden color. Don't worry if the candy corn melts through a little, you can clean it up later.

I'd also recommend only making about a half dozen at a time. If they're not sweet enough for you, sprinkle some powdered sugar on them right away.

I cannot believe how good this tastes

We made some on the desk just outside the on-air studio in this video below.

It really is THAT good!
