‘Hamilton’ Announces It Will Take Its Final Bow In Chicago

Hamilton was and continues to be a massive success in New York City, so when it was announced the show was coming to Chicago, people immediately lined up for tickets.

The theater-going public continues to buy tickets for the Chicago production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's hit musical since the day it opened in 2016.

If you haven't seen Hamilton yet, you better get tickets now because the Chicago Tribune is reporting the show will close on January 5, 2020.

• 2.8 million people have seen the musical at the CIBC Theatre.
• Weekly gross potential of about 2.1 million.
• Grossed close to $350 million in Chicago, making it far and away the most financially successful theatrical show in the history of the city.

Tickets for the final run of Hamilton shows go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
