Hasbro Just Dropped ‘Ms. Monopoly’ Where Women Get Paid More Than Men
Forget Old Man Pennybags, Ms. Monopoly is now taking over your board game cupboard.
I didn't know when I woke up this morning that today, Tuesday September 10, would be a huge day for women.
And then I saw this.
Ms. Monopoly has arrived.
She's Mr. Monopoly's niece and she has her very own game where it pays to be a woman.
Literally. Hasbro gifted three teenage girls with real money to continue their inventions when they sent out the game to them in the above Facebook video.
According to USA Today: The new game – which includes several modern updates including ride shares instead of railroads and Wi-Fi instead of water works – goes on sale this month at major national retailers for a suggested price of $19.99. The game is available for preorder at Walmart.com.
While I assume this game will come with a bunch of backlash, especially because the game is played with women having the upper hand, as opposed to everything being equal, I'm still on board.
I just pre-ordered it and can't wait to pass GO and collect $240.
The first person I plan to play with is my brother, Michael, who I'm convinced cheated every time we played as kids.
