Did you just yawn at your desk? Yeah, me too. It's because those of us that live in Illinois are not getting enough sleep.

How many times a day do you find yourself saying, 'man I am TIRED!'?

Probably more than you'd like to admit. Don't feel bad, you're not alone.

Americans in general aren't getting enough sleep, but when you break it down by state those of us that live in Illinois really need to catch up on our 'zzz's.

Casino.org recently published a study all about how much sleep we're NOT getting and as expected, we need more sleep.

If you forgot, we're supposed to aim for seven to nine hours of sleep per night, but here in Illinois the average is 6.8 hours a night.

Is that terribly horrible? No, but it's not great and can keep you from being successful at work or at home.

While we're not meeting the recommended amount of sleep, we are nowhere near the bottom of the list.

Illinois ranks 24th, Wisconsin is pretty close to us, their average is 6.9 hours a night.

Seeing that just makes me tired.
