Every once in a while you need to grab some fast food and maybe just maybe that includes Portillo's new jumbo cup of cheese.

Whether fast food is a huge part of your life, or maybe... you just like to run through the drive thru on Sunday nights after a LONG weekend, if you're in Illinois you've stopped at Portillo's at least once or twice.

Portillo's is my go-to on those Sunday nights, because you know what I love their cheese sauce so I go for it.

Now, if you're caught up on my Portillo's endeavors then you know that my go-to order is a chopped salad without cheese paired with a large cheese fry.

it's always perfectly satisfying, but then I saw that Portillo's came out with a 'Jumbo Cheese Cup,' and I thought, the next time I'm rolling through, I need to get that! A little extra cheese sounds perfect.

So then this past Sunday I was there and I ordered my salad and fries with the jumbo cup and the total price was a little high, $18 something? Isn't it usually like $11 or $12.

Turns out that jumbo cheese cup is $4.89! And it's not just a little extra cheese... it's FIVE TIMES the regular cup.

I'm not quite sure I needed that cheese cup with my large fries, which now felt like they were a small at best.

So how much cheese did I use? With a lot of double dipping (I wasn't sharing) and actually attempting to use as much cheese as possible I would say I used half the cup. And I felt awful when I threw the rest away.

Moral of the story, it's not just a bigger cup, it's a BIGGER CUP, and you might not need it if you're dipping solo.
