Illinois City Low-Key Dubbed One of the World’s Best for Introverts
Introverts unite! Then separate immediately.
First a joke. Do you know how an introvert likes you? Instead of looking at their own shoes, they look at yours.
Sorry. That's kind of a groaner, but hey, if the shoes fits, right?
Anyway, I saw this and I thought "Since we've been all forced into becoming introverts for the past few years, this should be of interest."
MrQ.com put together a list of The Best Cities for Introverts 2022 saying "We've analyzed 50 cities worldwide to reveal the top 20 best places for introverts, based on the cost of living, leisure activities, and entertainment."
The website used 9 different metrics in total including:
- Population Density
- Number of Remote Jobs
- Average WiFi Speed
- % of Gamers
- Number of Walking Trails/Parks
- Number of Museums & Art Galleries
- Number of Public Libraries
- Number of Theatres
- Happiness Index
On the list, only two American cities made the top 10. New York was ranked 9th overall and right behind the Big Apple was The Windy City. Yep, Chicago is apparently the 10th best city in the world for introverts.
Scoring a 5.41 overall, and despite the massive population, Chicago still manages to be a great place for people if they are willing to go "lone wolf."
You'd think that a big city would probably be the worst place for someone who's an introvert but it's not my study, so sure MrQ.
Anyway, do you know how to spot an introvert in a crowd? Please don't.
