Let's be honest—we all need a dang vacation. With the weather in Illinois forever changing, sometimes a small getaway is the perfect way to reset our minds.

The beach, the mountains, water views, and a change of scenery is where we love to escape to when we get time off. Personally, I love the beach. When my birthday rolls around, I always fly to Florida and sit my happy butt on white sand, listen to the waves crash, and enjoy the gorgeous sunshine beating down on me.

My goal is always to be as close to the equator as possible. Getting that free Vitamin D is good for the soul, right?! RIGHT!

I'm not totally sold on escaping to the city life, though. New York is too much with all the lights, Nevada is a different kind of heat that makes me exhausted within minutes, and Texas doesn't sound appealing. What about the rest of Illinois?
