Several areas of the Chicago region experienced light snow this morning, followed by a chilly and windy day. Dress for the weather! Sub-zero wind chills are expected, along with the possibility of additional snowfall as a winter storm inches closer to Illinois.
According to latest forecasts, we could get 6-12 inches of snow by Monday, and heavy snow and ice could cover most of the Midwest through Tuesday, January 7th.
Current forecast models show as much as six to eight inches of snow south of I-74, Jeanes said. Further south, six to 12 inches of snow could fall by Monday afternoon, Jeanes said, though the storm track could shift upwards. [nbcchicago]
