One of the most popular animal shelters in Illinois is sharing updates on a puppy that recently came their way. Here's Bambino's story.

For a lot of us, animal shelter are somewhere we go to adopt a new furry friend for our family, but there is another side of the shelter we don't think of quite as often, helping abandoned animals survive.

Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary is one of the most popular animal shelters in Rockford and on their Facebook page, they share a ton of photos of dogs and cats that have found their way to Rockford.

Last week they shared this post on Facebook, introducing their fans to Bambino.

They shared that Bambino was struggling to survive and came to Noah's Ark as a very sick puppy, with hopes that he would be able to stay alive long enough to be treated.

The very next day they were happy to report that Bambino was eating and drinking water on his own, which is such a huge step for a dog in this condition.

Then came the videos, which will really tug at your heartstrings.

Today's video shows Bambino's strongest walk yet, with Noah's Ark thanking their staff and their social media family for their prayers.

You can follow Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary on Facebook for updates on Bambino and to see the other animals that are looking for homes in the Stateline area.
