Illinois Small Town Hosts Your Beloved Horror Movie LIVE
Are you ready to get your ghost on this weekend? 'The Haunting of Hill House,' is waiting for you in Rochelle, Illinois.
In general, when it comes to Halloween, I stay in the 'fun costumes and candy,' lane, and skip the 'scary and horror,' side of it.

But, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to see my friend, Sydney, star in her first ever starring role, so I made the trip to Rochelle last weekend to catch opening night of 'The Haunting of Hill House,' at the Vince Carney Community Theater in Rochelle.
The story began as a book and has been turned into plays, movies and tv shows for decades. Though the characters change a bit depending on which version you're watching, Hill House stays the same. It's haunted and if you had the chance to visit, you'd be scared out of your mind.

On the plus side, as a viewer at the play in Rochelle, I actually wasn't scared out of my mind. I enjoyed the ghostly theme without having nightmares. So I can vouch that you will be able to handle the creepiness even if you don't usually love the 'horror,' in Halloween.
This coming weekend is your final chance to see the show at 7p.m. and 8p.m. at the VCCT. I recommend being on time (sorry Sydney, I missed the first four minutes...) and grabbing a bag of m&ms in the concession area during the intermission.
