Illinois has had some seriously lucky lottery winners lately, with prizes ranging from thousands of dollars to a billion-dollar jackpot.

A $1.04b Powerball ticket sold in Quincy made headlines this summer, and more recent wins include a $1 million Lotto prize in Chicago and a $550,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot won by someone online.

Now?  The Illinois Lottery is searching for someone who could be sitting on a $250,000 prize without even realizing it.

According to the Lottery, the winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket was purchased at a BY gas station in Chicago for the November 7th, 2025 drawing.  The problem?  Nobody has come forward to claim the money, and time is running out.
