An Illinois woman who lied on TV about a breast cancer diagnosis, among other things, has been indicted on federal charges.

Sarah Delashmit, from Highland Illinois, was charged with wire and mail fraud along with aggravated identity theft according to thetelegraph.com.

Delashmit was on an episode of Dr. Phil in 2019 where she admitted to lying about having breast cancer and muscular dystrophy.

She attended events under the guise of having muscular dystrophy and then breast cancer.

When Delashmit claimed she had muscular dystrophy, she bought a wheelchair, attended a camp with people actually struggling with the disease, and said she needed assistance to get dressed and to bathe.

While she was faking her breast cancer diagnosis, she attended another event claiming to have stage 4 breast cancer and received a $4500 triathlon bike according to The Sun.

Delashmit's lies have caught up with her. She will be in US District Court in St. Louis on March 24.
